Obituary of Mildred Klassen

Peacefully Mildred Klassen passed away July 15, 2018 at the Calvary Place Personal Care Home in Winnipeg at the age of 87 years.

She is survived by five daughters and two sons: Loreen, Carol, Shirley, Wayne, Donald, Marilyn, Jennifer and their families which include nine grandsons, three granddaughters, five great-grandsons and two great-granddaughters.  She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ed.

Mildred was a devoted wife, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.  Mom approached the challenge of raising a large rambunctious family with a wry sense of humour and the ability to make meals, gardening, and all homemaking skills look effortless.  Her family, and all who met her benefited from her grace and unconditional love.

The funeral service will be held at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Morris, Manitoba on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 2:00pm.  Burial will be at the Morris Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Calvary Place for their compassionate care of our mother.  A special thank you to the various care companions who provided our mother with friendship and love.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to M.C.C. and/or the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation-Neonatal and Intensive Care Unit.
