My deepest condolences to the Lamotte family. Gerry and I were classmates in Redvers School. While our life paths had taken us in different directions, I have often wondered if we would get together again, having not seen him since 1985.
His charm and charismatic personality allowed to him to make friends very easily, and he had many. He will be missed, and long remembered.
Sincerely,
Bill Duke

Our deepest condolences to you Susan and the boys. Gerry always had a smile on his face and was ready for a party. As this year's flood threat approaches I remember Lloyd and Gerry going boating on the Morris River during working hours one spring when the flood waters were high. Let the many memories give you comfort.
Love, Jo

As a kid playing hockey, Jerry was a great mentor. When I was young there were skills I just had trouble grasping at first, like the wrist shot. He taught me the ins and outs of that skill. Jerry made time to go through the basic elements of things like that in a way that made learning and making mistakes just part of the ride. This isn't every hockey coaches forte. I had the sense that Jerry got a kick out of seeing kids learn something new. He had no problem making people of all ages feel accepted. He was one of the good ones.

The final wishes of Gerry is typical of his character. He was always about others, and their feelings. If you said God broke the mold when He made Gerry, you are absolutely right. Men like him raise the good in people, and encourage us all to do better. We need more people like him in this world, and the best way to remember him, is to be like him. My sincere condolences to the family in their time of grief, but as long as we keep his memory with us, he is never truly gone.

We will miss you Ger, a good neighbor and friend over so many years, many good times to recall, block parties, camping and curling, gettting together on your deck, AND looking after our dandelions! The skating rink you and Ron H made (and maintained!) on the then empty lot in the winter was a special gift to all our kids when they were young! A gift to the parents as well - we always knew where they were!
We also hold a fond memory of you and Susan’s stay at our island cabin several years ago now. We will miss your humorous wit and that mischievous smile. Much sympathy and love going out to Susan and family.

Susan, David, Shane, Brock and KK. My deepest condolences to you and your family. Always think of Gerry as my Morris big brother. Only needed the two of us patrolling the outfield for the Buds with all that speed and Gerry's amazing basket catches. Such great memories. Thoughts are with all of you, take care.
