Obituary of Gladys Joyce Nelson

Baa Bah Ma Shiik passed on the to the spirit world February 10, 2016 at the age of 68 years old at Boundary Trails Health Centre with her family by her side. She is preceded by her parents Edward Nelson and Rose Nelson (nee Johnson) her brothers Gordon, Leonard, David, Ronald, sister Linda; Nephews Bruce, Eddie, Cameron, Marvin, Nieces: Elenor, Nancy and grandniece Melissa grandnephew Vincent Maracle. She leaves to cherish her memories her children Kimberly (Ken), Warren (Sherri), and Donovin (Nadine); Her brothers Kenneth Egachie, Robert Egachie (Joanne) and sisters Gloria Cloud, Patsy Nelson (Shane), Doris Benais (Joseph), Sharon, and Grandsons Steven, Blair, Rider, Colby, Tex, Tiler, Kylan, Zachery, Kato, Otto, Tanner, granddaughters, Sasha, Natasha, Leda, Shania, great granddaughter Abbygale and numerous nieces and nephews. Baa Bah Ma Shiik loved spending time with her children and grandchildren always educating them of what she thought would assist them in future endeavors. She also loved teaching and working on family trees, travelling, playing bingo and cards. She met a lot of people in her life time as she educated herself to be come a Teacher. Her pride and joy came from teaching and seeing her students and children succeed as they grew. Baa Bah Ma Shiik will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her. Wake services will commence February 11, 2016 - February 13, 2016 at the Roseau River First Nation – Ginew School and traditional funeral services on February 14, 2016 beginning at noon.
