Obituary of Brunhilda Brandt

Brunhilda Brandt, nee Miller, was born January 8, 1928 to Phillip and Elizabeth Miller, the fourth of 12 children. She was born and raised in Rosenort, Manitoba. Mom passed away, peacefully with family at her side on July 15, 2020 at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris, Manitoba. She is survived by her 4 daughters, 3 sons and their spouses; Lucille (Elmer), Rudy (Joanne), Rhonda (Lloyd), Chuck (Luella), Phyllis (Jim), Paulette (Rob) and Russell (Danielle); 23 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. Brunhilda is predeceased by her husband, Levi Brandt. She is also predeceased her parents, and by 3 brothers and 2 sisters. She committed her life to following Jesus at a young age and her faith was very important to her throughout her life. Mom found joy in spending time with her children and family and was always encouraging and supportive to them. During her last years, visits from her great grandchildren were sure to put a smile on her face. The family would like to thank all the caring and loving staff at the Red River Valley Lodge and previously at the Rosenort Heritage Centre, Dr. Fraser from the Morris Hospital, Mom’s many friends who visited her during her last years, and the Rosenort EMC Cheer Committee who brightened her days with flowers and visits at The Lodge. Mom, although we are glad that you are rejoicing in heaven, we will forever love and miss you. A private funeral will be held at the Rosenort E.M.C. with burial at the Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be held at Morris Funeral Home on Saturday, July 18, from 2:00pm to 9:00pm.
