Hi I’m Bonny, David’s niece and the flower girl at his wedding. I had spent a lot of time with them way back then in Lowe Farm. I always remember my Uncle David’s sense of humour. Truly he was a kind and sweet soul. When he married aunt Helen, I knew it was true love and this was how love is supposed to be.
You are loved by all and missed by so many.
See you in Heaven

David and I were friends through most of our school years in Lowe Farm. As teenagers we spent most weekends together riding in his car.
I have only wonderful memories spending times together.
It was when we reached our adult years and each got married we went our separate ways.
May I offer my sincere condolences to you Helen and the family.

Our deepest sympathies to you and your family Aunt Helen. We are so sorry for your loss... Uncle Dave and dad will be enjoying their jokes and laughing together in heaven. I have such fond memories of our families being together and enjoying many laughs and activities. Uncle Dave was the kindest, sweetest Uncle..who gave the best hugs. Although I only knew David in the last couple of years while he dealt with dementia, I came to see him as a warm-hearted, caring and kind man. My husband remembers him growing up with the same personality. The personality described in his obituary stayed with him and shone throughout his illness. What a lovely man and a truly dedicated family. I consider it a great honour to have the privilege of caring for him in his final journey. Take comfort in knowing he is now at peace and catching fish to his hearts content.

My condolences to you Helen and family. As I got to know David when I cared for him at Salem, he came to hold a special place in my heart. Your description of him before his dementia is exactly how I imagined him to be - a kind and gentle giant. He always had a twinkle in his eye and a wonderful laugh. Although he had dementia, his character shone through. I always admired your faithfulness, Helen. I know you loved each other very much and it was always very evident when you would come. He was always so happy to see you and there was always that special sparkle in his eyes that he had just for you when you came. Your love for each other was evident to everyone. I hope and pray that you find healing and peace that only our Lord can give. God bless you all.
