Dear Cousins: I was so sad to hear of the loss of your dad, grandpa, and brother. I send you hugs and prayers. I didn’t know Gordon as well as my brothers but I heard numerous stories about him from them and from my Mom. I loved that Gordon called me after my mom died. We talked for about 20 minutes about her, about him and about his ministry. He left me feeling like we were old friends. Rest In Peace Gordon. We will meet again.

Gordon you left us in shock. Garry and I will miss your impromptu visits and enjoyed every one. Nothing better than a cup of perked coffee or a cup of “hot” tea. Sure wish those deer hadn’t gotten on your way or the misguided golf ball; always a topic of conversation. You were a wonderful Minister and friend. Rest In Peace dear soul.

My deepest condolences to Gordon’s family and friends.
Gordon and I had many good fishing trips. My most memorable
trip was when we went for a full day ( 3 hours ) and never said
one word from the time we left the shore till we we’re pulling
the boat out of the water and in unison we said
“ that was a good day thank you “ we laughed packed our gear
And went on our way.
I will surely miss him. Thank you for the memories Gordon, Rest In Peace my friend

I a sorry to hear of Reverend Fulford passing. I only met him a few times. He was definitely passionate about his ministry. He visited with my mom Mary Sawatzky in her care home in Grunthal. He did not know her but had been informed she was a member of the Greenridge United Church. He visited her several times. He did communion with mom on one visit. She really appreciated this. He also phoned me in December when she had passed away and he had just been discharged from hospital. He obviously loved and cared for people. May he rest in peace. God blessing be with him and his family. Evelyn Link

my deepest condolences to Gordon's family. I first met Gordon via email when he was in the process of moving back to Canada. I was in desperate need of a minister to assist Roseau Valley Legion with our Remembrance Day services and, even though he must have been extremely busy with the move, he selflessly gave me his attention and input. I was extremely honored to work with him on that and subsequent services to honor our fallen not only with Remembrance Day but with funerals of veterans that he officiated. Gordon was extremely generous, helpful and had an amazing sense of humor. I will miss our conversations friend and our chats when we would meet on the street. rest in peace my friend.

My sincere sympathies to Rev Fulford's family. I have so many fond memories of times spent with the family babysitting their beautiful girls. I accompanied them on 2 summer holidays to help out with the girls. Gord being Gord used the air pump to make a noise outside my pup tent - I flew out in a matter of seconds and there he was laughing and holding the pump - never a dull moment. He was more than a minister to me, he became a great friend and mentor - I truly share your grief.

To all of Reverend Fulford's family, my deepest sympathy. Reverend Fulford was always ready with a smile for everyone he met. His quick wit, charm and compassion were 2nd to none! I remember him being our Emcee for a Christmas Concert in Rossburn when we were in high school. We had the opportunity to travel to Expo 67, and our committee had to raise money to pay for travel to Rivers to catch the train for Montreal, hence the concert. He was fabulous! And there was never a dull moment throughout that whole concert! He was a role model for many and he will be sadly missed.
Sincerely,
Pat Pitcher (Moffat)

TO The Fulford Family,
Such sadness, such sadness!
I have known Gordon and his family since he was the United Church minister , in 1969, for Arden-Neepawa Pastoral Charge, some 52+ years. He reminded me of that lots in our conversations, and I would always remind him of how he was always kind, considerate and caring to our family, especially Gordon visiting my Mum in Winnipeg hospitals. He never missed a day, and clear across the city.
He was a great friend. Now, he can rest in peace, and be free of any pain and suffering.
In his words "Keep it up!
In Alan Jackson's words, "i'll Leave This World Loving You"...and Gordon did just that.
Deepest sympathy, from Alice Mae King and Dave Anderson, Lac du Bonnet

Rev. Fulford performed many funeral services for us over the years and he was always great to work with . He would seldom arrive more than 2 or 3 minutes before service time but he always arrived and served families well. Wish you as family much comfort and support in these difficult days. Harry A. Our sincere condolences to all of Gordon's family. We always enjoyed his services at Grey Street United Church. He performed our wedding ceremony, and baptized both our children. He was quite the character. He would tell you a joke, but had a serious look and tone in his voice to see your reaction and then he would laugh. Will be missed.

Our family will miss our Rev Gordon. His sense of humour was enjoyed by all our family. We so much appreciated his pastoral care of our family in our grief at the loss of our son Darcy a year ago. Rev Gordon arrived on our doorstep even before we had meet him at church, he drop in for coffee frequently. I always enjoyed his message because they would leave with a question for the week. Dearly loved greatly misses.
