I met Brian at Bob and Wally's place on Stafford in late 1971 where I worked part time between classes at the University of Winnipeg. He was a quiet guy that was always available to answer any and all questions concerning anything automotive. I moved away from my old area and lost touch with him for a while but ran into him at the Waverley Heights community club. He was living across the street from the club and we just picked it up from there. My wife's Caddy developed an engine knock and I got Brian to look at it. He said it was a rod knock and I told him to go ahead and fix it. And he did just that. He told me that he had to get different parts from all over the place. I told him that there was no rush but he kept updating me on the progress. He called me one day and said he was putting it back together. I picked it up and it was better than it had ever been. I was shocked to hear of his passing when I ran into Betty. He was a great guy and our loss is heaven's gain. I hope that I get to see him again as I know where he went.....It's me I'm uncertain about.

Brian is a childhood friend. We played in a band together. Brian organized a reunion meeting when I returned to Winnipeg for a family visit. It was so good of Brian to organize this. The lunch meeting was incredible after all these years. So sad to hear of his sudden passing. It sounds like he lived his life to the fullest. My condolences to his family. We shared so many early memories.

To Betty and Family: It was with shock and sadness that I read of Brian's passing. I know that you will all be feeling deep grief and a painful emptiness as you cope with the reality that he is not there in his accustomed places. But be assured he is fondly remembered by many people, at least four in our family, Glen, Teresa, Judy and I. Brain was a good man and a great mechanic, or should I say he was a great man and a good mechanic. Back in the day he kept our beaters on the road. On one occasion he looked after my son's car which had stalled out & his dealer said those dents in the aluminum head have ruined your engine. For $3,000 we'll put in a new engine. We said no to that and we hauled the car into Brian's shop. He laughed & said, "those dents don't matter at all, I'll check it out and have you back on the road for under $30.00. He was a godsend. Love to all. Joe Redpath

We are very saddened to hear this news.
We really enjoyed Brian and the very friendly service he gave us at Motown, and we always talked about our four legged fur babies. He would also talk about when he owned the old restaurant near the Snarr property and how kind my in-laws were.
RIP Brian and our sincerest and deepest condolences to the family,
John and Julie Snarr

Was shocked to hear of Brian's passing. Our deepest condolences to Betty and family.
Was looking forward to having Brian help out on the farm again this spring, I think he enjoyed his "harrowing" experiences. He was great to work with and a great friend. He always had something to talk about and kept the airwaves warm with his ham radio hobby. The radio has been quiet lately.

Dear Betty and family. It has been my pleasure and privilege to spend the last few years with Brian in the Sisters of the Holy Rock. He was an incredibly giving man and just so always willing to help and do anything that was asked of him. Not only was he an integral part of each show in managing the sound with Gerry but he and the Henry Street band provided such wonderful music every year for our holiday party. .He was a true treasure to our group and will be so very dearly missed. There are no words to send you comfort in this sorrow but I’m sure your memories of him and your love of one another will help you through these difficult times. Thank you for sharing your Brian with us❤️

To Betty and the Family;
Grace and I would like to express our deepest condolences for your loss. I became friends with Brian about 12 yrs. ago. We both liked sharing stories and life experiences so we got along very well. We could both talk for hours and most times we did. The Tribute for Brian covers his life very well. Brian was a calm and gentle person who I looked up to. A brother I never had. I can't count the number of times Brian came to my rescue with mechanical and electrical problems we were facing. We could always count on him. We will miss him dearly.
