Dear Syd, Judy, Paul and families. My sincerest condolences to you in the loss of your dear sister, mom and gramma. I first met Charlotte when her dad came to teach school in Rosenort. She was a year older, so was in another grade, but it was a one room school, so that didn't really matter. We soon became friends, as she did with everyone. Over the years, we tried to keep in touch, especially at Christmas, usually with a note or a short letter. Periodically, we would phone each other, sadly, those times were often in time of loss, but it was always so good to hear her voice. A little over a month ago, two mornings in a row when I was in my prayer/devotional time Charlotte came to my mind. The first day, I told myself I would call, but life got in the way, but then when it happened the next day again, I knew that the Holy Spirit was giving me a nudge. I called her and we had a long talk, with tears and laughter, mostly, laughter. Syd, we talked about my siblings, and she hers, and I reminded her of how you used to annoy me when you told me my wheels were turning backwards in German, when I drove by. I just finished watching the video which was so beautiful, so genuine and so touching, I almost felt like I was there with you. I know you will treasure her generosity, her kindness, her love, her humor as will I, and that is what she would want us to do. May your precious memories of her comfort and sustain you in your sorrow, but with tears of joy that she was in our lives. May God bless you all always. Doreen Loewen Marks, Kelowna, BC.

So many rich memories of the friendships between our families in my childhood years.
This photo captures my recollection of Charlotte - joy amidst the challenges and losses of life.
Charlotte - you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith.
Now there is in store for you, the crown of righteousness, which the LORD, the righteous Judge, will award to you on that day-and not only to you, but also to all who have longed for his appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
Judy and Paul - may the peace of Christ surround you amidst the deep loss of your dear mom.
Much love and care, Joan Hildebrand, Guelph Ontario

I first met Charlotte as a 12 year old , when she and her family lived at the Willow Ridge school… My mom, Hilda, and Charlotte became good friends. I babysat Judy, David and Paul on a regular basis - they kept me busy! my main memory of Charlotte was her constant and wonderful laugh… I’m fortunate to enjoy one of the many quilts she was involved in making over the years. my wishes for peace to you, Judy and Paul. Jeannie Hildebrand Kemp (Hilda and Dan’s daughter)

My deepest condolences to Charlotte’s family. Charlotte and I have been friends since she came to Grunthal with her dad, PJB Reimer my high school teacher, to attend Goodwill High School. We always kept in touch visiting each other over the years. Since our move to Edmonton I’ve only had the pleasure of long phone visits. She always was so supportive and cheerful. Cherish your memories. Rest In Peace my dear friend. Hilda Muir
