Camille and James Rhymer would like to send our sincerest condolences to you and your family Trevor. Camille and I remembered how kind it was when you and Rebekah delivered a perogy diner to our farm after the birth of our first daughter in 2006. Rebekah's kindness will always be remembered. I have so many wonderful memories of Rebekah. Anyone that had the opportunity of knowing her, knows that her beauty shone from the inside out. She was always there to help out even if it was a prayer or an ear to listen to. She had the most amazing voice and always had the best advise. She was such a role model to look up to, great wife, amazing mother to her kids and the best friend a girl could ask for. Rebekah, you will be greatly missed!

My deepest thoughts and condolences to Trevor, Isaiah and Kayra and the whole family.
It was a privilege to know Rebekah for almost all her life and I am so thankful for the times that we were able to share with each other.
The days in summer when Rebekah and Trevor with the kids visited me and my family in our summer house in Turkey- light , fun days without any sorrow!
And the deep, spiritual conversations we had during our spiritual directions that Rebekah did with me.
Her spirit is an inspiration that will keep on living!
I miss you.

I met Rebekah years ago in Abbotsford when I began to take care of their son weekly as they went to bible study. Rebekah was such a gift to me in those formative years, and I looked forward to every week when she would pick me up, and bring me to her place. I cherished those 5 minute car rides where we would connect without interruption. Rebekah was always a listening ear to me, and was a non judgemental place to be seen and heard. She showed up authentically and always demonstrated such a desire to love others. When she moved, we still continued to connect through email, and in the last 2 years, through many many voice messages. Rebekah was an amazing mother and I am so privileged that I got to witness her in that role, and I learned so much from her. She truly was a gift in this world, and I will dearly miss her.
Sending love to you Trevor, Isaiah, and Kayra.

I met Trevor and Rebekah in Kinshasa, Congo. I was always blessed with Rebekah's desire to understand the Congolese culture and this opened the door to many friendships she made in Kinshasa. Because she was of small stature, I had the privilege of adjusting a lovely outfit she received from a local friend which gave us a time to get to know each other more. At the end of their posted service she with Trevor and their Treck group planned a beautiful national meal for all the friends they had made during their time of service. Her generosity and sincere interest in love for people was always evident in her walk with Jesus.
Condolences to you, Trevor, and your two lovely children.

I got to know the Friesens 2010, during a long walk alongside the Marmara sea, evaluating wether we were to become work teammates. While never becoming teammates we surely made soulmates the moment we started sharing about our unborn children, hopes and discouragements of our pregnancies. How I rejoice imagining her now exploring what the Lord has in store for all the Friesens kids on the other side.
And I am glad, as short as her life has been, that she was granted such a beautiful marriage experience on this earth: Trevor, you were great!

I first meet the Friesen's in Istanbul, and my favorite memory with Rebekah was when I visited her and Trevor in Canada. They helped me cross off three life bucket list items: experience a real Canadian winter, go to a Canadian hockey game, and ice skate on a frozen river. The whole weekend I knew Rebekah was in pain, but her ability to still be patient with her young kids, care for her kids, and continue to chase after God was that of a saint. She was an incredible testimony of caring for others and God, in a hard times. Trevor, you are a prince of a man.

Rebekah and her family were my neighbors in Istanbul. But more than that I feel privileged also to have known her as a dear friend. I cherish the memories of Rebekah sitting in my living room and sharing our hearts or being in her house and praying together. Rebekah was always interested not just knowing someone superficially but she was interested to know a person deeply from their heart. And even when her cancer was detected in Istanbul and she was terribly weak and in pain after her operation, she carried with her the presence of the Lord Jesus. I miss her but am so so glad to have known her. Praying for her family

So deeply sorry for the grief you all are feeling! Rebekah was a lovely classmate to have in School of Spiritual Direction. I also enjoyed the times when she and I had times after class together and sharing about life, love and other mysteries. Her heart and love for Jesus was captivating and made her a peaceful place for us around her. It was a gift to sit in her sunroom in November and see her. Praying for Trevor, Kyra and Isaiah and the whole family. Much love to all

Rebekah was a welcome member in the intercessory prayer room for any training camp we facilitated. God's favour in the area of prayer and intercession was obvious. I recall Rebekah getting excited for each mission participant as she heard/saw/felt a word from the Lord for them. We don't know much about heavenly life, but I'm imagining Rebekah worshiping and seeing the glory of her partnership with Jesus as an intercessor RIGHT NOW.

I was blessed to have met Rebekah as a part of my role on the Palliative Care Team. She was a shining light and encouragement to all of us who came to help her with her medical needs. At Thanksgiving I prayed with her that she would live to spend Christmas on earth with her family even though medically it looked unlikely. I thank God that He granted her that request.
Trevor I will continue to pray for you as you grieve and learn how to continue on without her.
