Obituary of Leonard Raymond Jorgenson

Peacefully Len passed away May 22, 2016 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 96 years. Len is survived by three daughters: Janie (Dennis) Headland, Marilyn (Lucien) Sabourin and Jo-Anne (Dave MacDonald) Gallagher; seven grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, three brothers: Robert, Ben (Bernie) and Larry (Colette),three Sisters-in-law: Kathleen, Mable and Pat; and friend Alecia Rorrie. Len was predeceased by his wife Sarah Jane (Sadie) Jorgenson in 1988, his parents, six brothers and two sisters. Len was a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion-Morris Branch #111, a life member of the Morris Curling Club, he was a 2nd World War veteran with the RCAF, a member of the Morris Lions Club and he loved to golf. A public graveside inurnment and service will take place in the Morris Cemetery on Saturday, May 28, 2016 at 11:00am. A reception will follow at the Morris Legion Hall, all are welcome to attend. The family would like to thank the staff of Riverside Lions Residence, the staff of the St. Boniface Hospital-Emergency and 6E, and to Dr. Nadeem for her many years of care.
