Obituary of Bruce Walter Dewald

Bruce Walter Dewald of Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away peacefully on August 29, 2023 at the age of 62 years. Bruce is survived by his wife Lai; sisters: Deb, Darlene, Patti (George) and family Caitlyn (Vova), Josh (Nicole); and extended family and friends. Bruce was predeceased by his mother Fay (1989) and his father Rudolph (1995) and his brother-in-law Harry (2003). Bruce grew up in a Christian home and accepted Jesus as his Saviour at a young age. His faith was very important to him throughout his life. This prompted him to attend Bible School in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, graduating in 1989. Bruce applied his training to serve in various ways including preaching, teaching and sharing his understanding of Scripture. Bruce and Lai married in 2007 with the commitment to serve the Lord together, which they did. Spending time with family and friends was very important to him. He enjoyed listening to gospel music and was an avid sports fan. Bruce loved, was loved, and will be missed. The funeral service for Bruce, will be held in conjunction with the service for his sister, Darlene, on Saturday, September 16, 2023, 2:00 pm, at Morris Fellowship Chapel, Morris Manitoba. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Youth for Christ Morris or a charity of your choice.
