Obituary of Cheryl Lynn Brown

Cheryl Lynn Brown (nee Gilby) March 23, 1983 - April 8, 2024 Age 41 years It is with great sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Cheryl after a brief illness at Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, MB. Cheryl leaves to mourn her loving and devoted husband Jeff. She met the love of her life in 2019 and they married in 2023. She loved the life they built together in Morris. She is also survived by her mother Dorothy, her twin brother Jeff, her aunt Gwen, her parents-in-law Judy and Jerry, sister-in- law Jennifer (Tyler) and niece Abby and nephews Max and Jackson, numerous friends and colleagues as well as special friends Andrea, Steph, and Scott. She also leaves behind her beloved pets: Karl, Cooper, lvy and Oscar. Cheryl was predeceased by her father Wayne, her maternal grandparents George and Grace Willox, her uncle Don, and her paternal grandparents Jess and June Gilby, and her incredibly missed pets Wilson and Onyx. Her passing has left us filled with immense grief but also many cherished memories. Cheryl was known for her sense of humour and loved to laugh. Cheryl loved deeply, you knew if she loved you. She was kind and compassionate and had a great love of animals. Cheryl loved to puzzle, read, and spend time in her garden. She and Jeff made many trips to the local greenhouse each spring. She was a brilliant woman who spent most of her adult life in the banking industry. She worked for many years for RBC and most recently was a committed and valued member at BMO in Morris, MB. The family wishes to thank the wonderful nurses and medical staff in the SICU and Step Down Units at the HSC for their exceptional care, compassion, and support. Private gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, April 13 2024. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to your local animal shelter or your local food bank.
