I had the pleasure of graduating from nursing school with Lillian in 1988 at the St. Boniface-actually just living down the hall from her. Lillian was a gift to our nursing class. Academically- she was brilliant. However, she was always eager to tease and have fun. She was a true example of a Christian nurse.
Please accept my sincerest condolences on the passing of Lillian and your beautiful daughter.
When our sorrow is so deep, it is God who carries us. May you be comforted in His love.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Savoie( nee MacKalski)

I went to youth with Lillian in Horndean. I have many memories of times spent singing and other activities that our youth was involved in. I have been praying for you that God our Lord and Saviour would heal Lillian and He chose to do a devine deliverance by taking her to her Heavenly home where she will be walking the streets of gold and have no more pain or suffering only Joy and happiness.
Lord pease keep this family under your loving care as they have suffered greatly and now need your love, grace and comfort as they now start this new day knowing that you will walk with them daily Amen

Dear Don and family,
I am Agatha's cousin from Sexsmith AB.
I just want to say how sorry we are about your loss. Losing 2 people from your family so close together seems almost more than you can bear.
My first husband, Henry Bartsch, passed away of a heart attack at the age of 50 years. I was left with 3 young boys. Sometimes when I look back at that time, I wonder how we made it. But it was only because Jesus was so near. Henry was a Christian and I knew we'd see him again. Everyday I would think -- this is another day closer to being together again. We are now 32 years closer to being together!
I'm praying that God will wrap you in His arms of love and carry you through this very difficult time. I don't know what else to say.
I found Lillian's obituary on line. What a beautiful and warm looking person she was.
We'll be praying for you.

I am so incredibly and thankful to God that He gave me Auntie Lillian as an aunt. She was so caring, loving, compassionate, kind, understanding and a joy to all who knew her. Auntie Lillian was a wonderful mother to Rylan, Jillana, and Adrienne. And a wonderful wife to Uncle Don. I have such wonderful memories of going to their house everytime we went to Manitoba and Auntie Lillian was always such a hospitable host and her food was always so delicious. Auntie Lillian was a dedicated and amazing nurse at Boundary Trails Health Centre and I know that the staff she worked with will miss her greatly.
As I think about Auntie Lillian it is sad that she is now gone to be with the LORD, but I have hope and I know I will see her again one day. She is with Adrienne, Uncle Mel, Grandpa Groening and so many other Groenings! :) Auntie Lillian is no longer any pain, she is conscious and she is awake. Auntie Lillian is safe now in the arms of the LORD. When I think about Heaven, I would like to remind you all of the verses of Revelation 21.4 and John 14.1-4.
Auntie Lillian I am going to miss you very VERY much. I love you. I am so thankful that I did get to see you for a few hours this year. You will be missed by all, but I am already looking forward to that day when I will see you face to face. You and Adrienne are together now and taking care of each other. And for that I have hope in store.
In closing I would encourage everyone to listen to the songs " I Can Only Imagine" and Thy Will by Hillary Scott.
See you Auntie Lillian and Adrienne. See you in Heaven. I love you. Goodbye isn't forever, it simply means I'll see you again. You'll always be in my heart both now and forever.
Your niece Emily McGillivray
