I got on the internet to look up my great-grandfather George A. Kruse and I came across your husband, father and your grandpa's obituary. It was the most interesting obituary I have ever read. I just kept on reading and reading I just couldn't get enough. You (the obitruary writer )should write a book about him he was a marvelous person and he accomplished so much in his lifetime. You had mentioned about him planting trees how he didn't make so much money because he was slow but yet he accomplished so much in his life.
Deepest and heartfelt sympathy goes out to the entire Kruse family for their loss of a great man. I wish I had known him he would have been an inspiration for me and who knows we may be related.

Dear Anne and family, It is with profound feelings that I extend my sympathies in the passing of Walter. I fondly recall the many conversations him and I had, especially in those years that we both worked at Penner Lumber in Kola. The lunch room down in the basement was a fabulous conference hall! The interesting and often the obscure characteristics of humanity combined with the inquisitive nature of gentleness that surrounded Walter, were and still are an inspiration to me. He taught me a lot about life, graciousness, and the aura of acceptance that surrounded him will be remembered. I feel the world has lost a grand crusader for peace. May God continue to comfort and uphold you all through this difficult period. It is with deep regret that I will not be able to attend any of the services to pay tribute to Walter.
