Obituary of Alice Jane Ritchot

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother Alice Jane Ritchot peacefully at the age of 83 on February 26, 2022. She has earned her wings. Alice is survived by her cherished children: Jodey, Brett, Wayne, Melinda (Mike) Kelly and David Sinclair-her special boy. Mom’s pride and joy were her grandchildren: Phillip, Marney, Bryce, Dylan, Robert, Mitchell, Danielle, Allyson, Kira, Jackie and Kimberly; great grandchildren: Jackson, Hayden, Emily-May, Olivia and Samuel. Mom loved all her siblings and in-laws they all held a special place in her heart. Alice was predeceased by our dad, Frank, and her son Kim. Mom was very proud to have belonged to such a great community. Mom served on many organizations and held offices with the Lioness Club, Legion Auxiliary, Davidson Centre and countless hours volunteering; mom touched the lives of many. Alice was the neighbourhood Mom to many kids growing up. With that beautiful smile and friendly come on in, everyone was always welcomed in our parent’s home. Mom loved to play Bingo and any form of card games, dice to name a few. Playing games was a big part of our lives with Mom. She loved to watch her curling. Mom will be deeply missed, never forgotten and always LOVED! A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the Morris MultiPlex (Stampede Grounds) at 11:00am. The family would like to thank the staff at the Red River Valley Lodge, Morris Hospital and Dr. Manness for the wonderful care. In Alice’s memory donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation and CancerCare Foundation. They have all touched her family’s lives.
