Jake Wall

Obituary of Jake Wall

Peacefully and surrounded by family, Jake Wall was welcomed into the embrace of our Heavenly Father on June 2, 2024 at the age of 45. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 17 years, Alison, his son Shaun, parents Jake and Helena, sisters Susie, Tina (Richard) and Maria and nieces Jillian and Stevie. Jake was known for his genuine smile and friendly personality. He cared deeply for others and always made people feel valued when he was talking with them. He deeply loved his wife, Alison, and his son Shaun. He was a devoted member of his family and community, providing help in times of need. You could always count on Jake. Jake had a gift of working with his hands. This was evident in his career as a heavy duty diesel mechanic. Jake also enjoyed tinkering on his own projects at home. He could fix anything and everything in the house. He challenged himself to restore his 2003 Chevy Silverado pickup truck. He successfully completed this project with minimal equipment and plenty of determination. He took satisfaction in a job well done. Jake loved farming and was fortunate to farm along side his father-in-law and brother-in-law. He operated the grain cart and would often have Shaun in the tractor as his helper. Jake had a special connection to the land and loved to go out for a country drive to look at fields and see how the crops were growing. He appreciated a good weed-free field with minimal tracks from the farm equipment. His favorite crop was wheat for its beautiful golden colour, watching the perfect wisps dance in the wind. Jake's walk with the Lord was very important to him. This became more pronounced as he was battling illness. His Savior Jesus provided him with comfort and peace during this difficult time. Jake learned the importance of trusting in the goodness of our God. With that trust, Jake was able to overcome fear and know that he was fully and completely loved, just as he is. You turned my wailing into dancing; you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, that my heart may sing to you and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give you thanks forever Psalm 30:11-12 As a family, we give our sincere thanks to Cancercare Manitoba, Southern Health Palliative Program, and Boundary Trails Health Center. You provided care that was compassionate and kind. Thank you to the community at La Salle Community Fellowship. You have supported us with each step during this difficult time and we will forever be grateful. The funeral service for Jake Wall will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at the Rosenort EMC at 2:00pm.
